The animated Batman: Hush movie brings one of DC’s most well-known and respected Batman stories of the modern era into a brand new medium. And to celebrate the feature film’s release, we have an exclusive clip showing how Harley Quinn and Catwoman’s opera hall battle has made the jump from comic to movie.
There’s no question that Batman: Hush has been a highly-demanded film adaptation, as one of the best encapsulations of modern Batman. Originally published in DC’s monthly Batman comic, the mystery centered on a strange new masked villain showcased Jeph Loeb’s cryptic writing and Jim Lee’s definitive art style for the Dark Knight. While the animated Batman: Hush makes a lot of changes to the original story–with some potentially making the Hush movie better than the comic–the duel between Harley and Catwoman remains surprisingly unchanged (even if only the most devoted fans will notice).
It’s not an understatement to say that Hush remains one of the best Batman stories, a large part of the reason being the appearances from many members of his beloved rogues gallery. In both his civilian guise as Bruce Wayne and as the caped crusader, a trip to the opera with the lovely Selina Kyle goes sideways when Harley Quinn crashes the party. Unfortunately for her, Batman isn’t the only vigilante in the theater. Check out our exclusive clip of that very battle, embedded below:
Those who have read the original Hush story know that this scene comes directly before one of the comic’s biggest twists… but you’ll need to watch the rest of the movie to see it for yourselves. Fans can read below for a look at the official plot synopsis and cast assembled for Batman: Hush, before picking it up in their digital or physical marketplace of choice.
Batman: Hush is available today for digital download, DVD, and Blu-ray.
