In a Good Boys deleted scene, Lucas (Keith L. Williams) calls customer support as the kids try to access an adult entertainment website. Released in theaters this past summer, Good Boys was the latest raunchy comedy to adapt the Superbad premise, this time placing the focus on a group of middle-school aged boys who are invited to a kissing party by the coolest kid in their class. The only problem is the three friends, Lucas, Max (Jacob Tremblay), and Thor (Brady Noon), don’t know how to kiss - so they embark on a wild journey that sees them skip school, accidentally carry drugs, and much more.

While some critics questioned who Good Boys was even for, the R-rated comedy received mostly positive reviews and grossed $110.8 million worldwide against a $20 million budget, making it a financial success. For those who didn’t get a chance to catch it in theaters, Good Boys has been available on digital since October 29, and is now available on Blu-ray. To commemorate the home media release, viewers can check out a deleted scene from the film.

Released as an exclusive the Screen Rant, the following scene sees Lucas call customer support when the boys are unsure about a term’s definition. Watch it for yourself in the space below:

Just about everyone knows what it feels like to call customer support, be put on hold, and get transferred from person-to-person in the attempt to have a simple question answered. Though this situation is obviously heightened (kids calling support for an adult site), much of the dialogue and the situation itself is grounded very much in reality. In particular, the line, “They say my call is very important” earns a chuckle, as do the troubles with the automated voice system. It’s also funny to watch Lucas develop something of a crush on Charlotte, asking Randy when her birthday is. It feels like the filmmakers were using this opportunity to vent their frustrations about customer service representatives, which is something many viewers will surely appreciate.

This deleted scene is just one of many special features that are available on the Good Boys home media release. It also includes an alternate ending, a gag reel, and other cut sequences that fans will want to check out. In comedy films such as this, it’s typical to shoot different versions of the same scene, trying out alternate jokes on the different takes to see which ones stick. So, it’ll be interesting to see what else is on the disc, and if audiences prefer some of the punchlines that were left on the cutting room floor.

Good Boys is now available on digital and Blu-ray.
