A new E3 2019 Nintendo Direct will arrive on June 11 during the company’s E3 conference. Nintendo Direct is an online presentation that Nintendo does occasionally to offer up new details about what the company is working on, as far as games and consoles.

Nintendo Direct gives fans a way to not only connect with the company but also learn about new releases and get more information about previously-announced titles and consoles. In February, Nintendo fans learned more about a new Pokemon game called Pokemon Sword and Shield coming to the Nintendo Switch. That presentation also included details about the upcoming Fire Emblem game, as well as announced Super Mario Maker 2 for the Switch. An E3 2019 Nintendo Direct is big by company standards, however, and would suggest a large swath of announcements is coming.

The E3 2019 Nintendo Direct is one that fans will be most interested in, and it makes up the biggest part of Nintendo’s proposed festivities over the course of E3. Nintendo Everything revealed earlier today that the date for the E3 Nintendo Direct is June 11 at 9 a.m. PT. The presentation will air live here and will feature games Nintendo has lined up for the rest of 2019. Nintendo will also host Nintendo Treehouse: Live, a daily live stream that will feature the company’s games. On Saturday, June 8 at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, Nintendo will host competitions for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2. Those competitions will also be livestreamed via Twitch and YouTube.

Nintendo has now joined the ranks of Microsoft, Bethesda, Ubisoft and Square Enix, companies that have all announced their plans for E3 2019. Sony remains the most noticeable absence, having previously announced that it would not have a presentation at this year’s E3, and would instead impart information to fans in other ways, most likely its new State of Play online streams.

It is likely that the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct will offer a better look at Pokemon Sword and Shield, but fans can also expect to see more information on the Switch remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. Although Nintendo states that the E3 Nintendo Direct is about software, fans could also still get some details about a cheaper version of the Nintendo Switch, which has been rumored for months now and supposedly could release later this year. There might also be a few surprises, so Nintendo fans will undoubtedly want to tune in and see what Nintendo has in store for them.
