Duane “Dog” Chapman shares an emotional dream he had of late-Wife Beth Chapman. After the loss of his beloved wife, Dog is trying to navigate everyday life without his partner in crime.
Beth was first diagnosed with throat cancer back in 2017 and soon after had entered remission. Sadly, a year later she was told her cancer had returned and spread to her lungs. The reality star only went through one round of chemotherapy before announcing she would not seek further treatment. Beth died on June 26th due to complications from her throat cancer at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was only 51.
Recently, Dog shared a very emotional sentiment which included a dream he had about his late wife, which People originally covered. During Dax Shepard’s most recent podcast of Armchair Expert, Dog revealed that he always sees his wife’s smile in his daughter, every day since Beth died. He continued to say that he loved and respected his wife to the very end. The host of the podcast, Shepard said that Dog’s identity was made up of his life that he shared with Beth. He understood how heartbreaking it would be to lose your best friend and partner in the world.
Dog said he had Googled how to move on from losing a spouse and he said he learned that the secret is time. He was given advice that you learn to adapt, and you get smarter about coping. He learned that grief will inevitably fade. The bounty hunter began to break down when he told a dream about his wife. He said, “I had a dream, I have visions.” Dog described the dream, “She’s in heaven and looks up and is like, ‘My god, Big Daddy is going to love it here. Look at all the animals.’” The reality star also said they watched her watering the garden that they had at their home just like it was any other day, “I used to sneak up on her … and I did and she goes, ‘Big Daddy, what took you so long?’ and started crying.”
The reality star gave an inside peek to fans, showing how he was coming to terms with his loss on the premiere episode of Dog’s Most Wanted. The reality star also confessed that he has yet to watch the new season of his show because the show chronicled Beth’s battle with cancer and the first couple of weeks without her. Fans everywhere only wish the Chapmans the least painless healing on such a momentous loss.
