Xposed Installer has been updated to version 3.15, and likewise, Xposed Framework has been updated to version 90-beta2. Xposed Framework was released in beta for Android 8.0 Oreo (and 8.1 Oreo) earlier in the year, and now it has been updated to v90-beta2. In this article, I’ll show you how to download Xposed Installer v3.15 and Xposed Framework v90-beta2 for Android Oreo.
If you’re an avid Android tweaker and customizer, you must have come across the word Xposed before. The Xposed Framework which was created by Senior Member of XDA Forums, rovo89, gives you access to customize and add a lot of features on your Android smartphone through Xposed Modules, and it can be installed on an Android device with the Xposed Installer. Xposed Framework has been constantly updated to support the latest versions of Android available, and you can now install it on Android 8.0 and 8.1 Oreo, the latest versions of the Android operating system. Here’s how.

Xposed Installer v3.15 Change-log
- Fixed a crash in download list search on Oreo.
- Fixed a crash when sending log on Oreo.
- “Optimize apps now” menu item, will trigger cmd package bg-dexopt-job. It’s available since Oreo and will start the job that usually runs once per night if the device is charging. If you feel degraded performance after installing Xposed, it might be because all apps are running purely on JIT and interpreter. That’s because Xposed needs additional information to identify methods it has to invalidate, and that information will be determined during the next compilation. If you want that to happen now, use this new feature. It took about 20 minutes on my Pixel. For more background, see here.
- Detection if Verified Boot (dm-verity) is active. If yes, any changes to the system partition will be detected and you’ll end up in a boot loop. The detection might not be 100% perfect yet, so if you notice false positives or negatives, please report a bug along with the output of adb shell getprop.

Xposed Framework v90-beta2 Change-log
- Support for installing and uninstalling Xposed through TWRP Recovery on Google Pixel. This new feature might also work for other smartphones that have their system partition mounted as the root directory and the /system path as just a subdirectory (also referred to as system root image devices), but it’s experimental at the moment and you try it at your own risk.
- In the last uninstaller release, there was a typo that caused a boot loop on devices when it was used. The typo has been fixed in v90-beta2, so make sure you update to the latest version as fast as possible.
